Are the Halloween rewards still with Verene?
Haven't been able to reach her to pick mine yet so was just wondering.

Lack of progress due to a cold. Bear is about 3 cm (1.2 inches) tall, grentch is about 13 cm (5 inches) tall.

AFAIK, she's been super busy with RL stuff, but it's been a few weeks since I last talked with her, so someone else who's talked to her more recently can probably give you a better idea on when would be a good time to reach her

Well, i hope i will not raise to big expectations...

Unfortunately i am not a musician - maybe a enthusiastic layman.

I will try to do a simple "jingle bells" in a midi-composeting tool and do my best at animating the charakters and scripting that flash-file (which is my first time doing so in such a amplitude).

After all, i will use about 5 different Computerprogs and a pinch off creativity :-)

Unfortunately i noticed that kind of competition weeks after beginning of my work - hoping for the announcement of the official contest - thanks google i get wind of this here. But much "work in progress" is not documented ...

@ Doctor Overlord - I seriously LOL'd.... very cleaver.

@ marshmellow - at first it looked like a mess to me. I couldn't tell what it was but then you colored in the girl (gwen?) and it cleared up. Nicely done too!

@ Draken - really coming along nicely. I like the addition of the jingle bear on top licking the girl. Are you using ink or color pencils?

@ Morag - very impressive. Its amazing how it came together.

@ Ferocious - I thought yours was very funny too!

@ TeeWrex - Very cute! I want one! I seriously don't understand how Anet only has only one charr plushy you can buy...

@ SasUltra - so, this is my first constructive criticism - hopefully you will see it in a positive way. The photos are not clear at all. Maybe you can borrow from someone a really good digital camera and take better photos, or change the camera to take bigger photos (meaning bigger files) so the quality is better?

@ starflek - good job with Gwen - but who ever is giving the gift looks un-proportioned. Maybe cut them out?

Right, let's try this again. I've had a chat with Thistle and clarified/sorted a few things. Clarification - my parody was inspired by the Guild Wars 2 Guru Wintersday Carol Contest but my work is not entered into the competition there, it was done purely as an example. Sorted - directly posted the lyrics here and made a quick YouTube vid out of my MP3.

Open to suggestions for changes to the words / metering, a few spots are a little iffy. I tried to stick as close to the original as I reasonably could but...artistic licence yaknow? (:

Sooo, that means for the workshop, we now have these firm and final deadlines:

Idea for entry: Recreating my mesmer in her Elite Enchanter's (Dyed Red) (Her Obsidian would be a little out of my time/money limit since I just found out about the contest today.), my best friend is a model who looks and proportioned exactly the same as her. Then I'll make a CC weapon set for her to use in the photoshoot.
Art form type: Fashion Design/Garment Creation/Photoshoot

Questions/Preliminary input needed:
1. Which CC set should a mesmer have? I honestly had thought just the CC Sword. The CC Shield would be fun as well(Big ol' wrapper), but I don't particularly like the GB focus/shield. I also consider the Spear due to the spear chucker mesmer builds since Paragon's release.
2. Snow is not easy to predict in Texas. Especially with 2 weeks left before deadline, its unlikely we'll get some until January. Is photoshop okay to add a few details that life doesn't give? (Magic glows as well for Mesmer spells if I go the battle route)
3. What scenery do you suggest? (See also, part 2.)
4. What other details could set the scene apart from just a basic cosplay?
